Choosing a quality and suitable tire is crucial for a safe ride and getting the most out of your electric scooter.

A solid tire replaces the need for inner tubes, but the ride will be harder, less comfortable, and will offer less grip.

Preventing Tire Punctures

The most common cause of flat tires is riding with incorrect inner tube pressure. Most electric scooters require at least 3.5 bar, which should be checked regularly with a pressure gauge – ideally once a week.

Riding with incorrect inner tube pressure can cause:

• Damage and punctures to the inner tube
• Tire wear from the inside and outside
• Poor grip and an increased risk of slipping
• Longer braking distances
• Poorer handling

Advantages and Disadvantages of a Solid Tire

Solid tires completely eliminate the problem of punctured tires, but they come with some disadvantages:

• A less comfortable ride and reduced shock absorption
• Less grip compared to pneumatic tires
• Increased vibrations that can strain electronic components
• A higher risk of slipping – especially in cold or wet conditions, as the rubber does not warm up as well

Service Information

Replace the tire as soon as you notice poorer handling, reduced grip, shaking, or visible wear. Under normal use, tires should be replaced every 1,000–2,000 kilometers.

Improper installation of an inner tube or tire can cause:

• Damage to the motor cable
• Damage to the motor frame
• Sharp cuts on the rim
• Damage to both the tire and the new inner tube

For a correct and professional tire replacement, contact the nearest service center in our network. When replacing a punctured tire, always check both the inner tube and the outer tire, as incorrect pressure often damages both. A damaged tire will significantly shorten the lifespan of any new inner tube.
