Service Information

Replace your first set of brake pads after about 500–700 km, depending on usage. For Sinter pads, plan for replacement between 1 000–2 000 km, or sooner if needed.

Before installing new pads, clean the brake disc and caliper, bed in the pads, and center the caliper. Replace the brake disc if you see visible signs of wear.

Professional brake service typically includes:

  • Cleaning the disc
  • Cleaning the brake caliper
  • Replacing or sanding the brake pads
  • Centering and bedding in the pads
  • Replacing the brake disc if necessary

Instructions for Bedding In New Brake Pads

  1. Remove the old brake pads
  2. Clean the brake disc
  3. Install the new brake pads, following the instructions
  4. Perform these steps in a safe, controlled area:
    1. Brake gently 20 times in a row
    2. Brake moderately hard 10 times in a row
    3. Brake very hard 5 times in a row
    4. Allow pads and disc to cool down
  5. Your brake pads are now ready for use
