Service Information

Replace the first set of brake pads after approximately 500–700 km, depending on usage. With Sinter pads, plan for a replacement between 1000–2000 km, or sooner if necessary.

Before installing new pads, clean the brake disc and caliper, bed them in, and center the caliper. Replace the brake disc if you notice visible signs of wear.

A professional brake service typically includes:

  • Disc cleaning
  • Brake caliper cleaning
  • Replacing or sanding the brake pads
  • Centering and bedding in the pads
  • Replacing the brake disc if necessary

Instructions for Bedding in New Brake Pads

  1. Remove the old brake pads
  2. Clean the brake disc
  3. Install the new brake pads according to the instructions
  4. Perform these steps in a safe, controlled area:
    1. Brake gently 20 times in a row
    2. Brake with moderate force 10 times in a row
    3. Brake very hard 5 times in a row
    4. Allow the pads and disc to cool down
  5. Your brake pads are now ready for use
