Unitree G1 - Advanced Humanoid AI Agent and Research Platform
Next-generation humanoid robot for AI development, education, and complex motion simulation.

Which industrial and research applications is this robot suitable for?
Unitree G1 is designed as an affordable yet high-performance platform for university research, AI laboratories, and development companies. It is ideal for testing imitation learning algorithms, deep reinforcement learning research, and the development of smart service applications. Due to its compact size and advanced sensors, it is also excellent for simulations in smart manufacturing.
Artificial Intelligence and UnifoLM Model
G1 is not just a robot; it is a physical avatar for advanced AI models. It is powered by the "World Model" concept based on UnifoLM (Unified Robot Large Model). The robot is capable of rapidly learning new skills through demonstrations and simulations. This opens a new era of intelligent agents that can adapt to unforeseen situations and constantly improve their motor skills via OTA (Over-The-Air) updates.
Superhuman Mobility and Range of Motion
Unitree G1 exceeds the limitations of human biomechanics. With extremely large joint movement angles (e.g., knees up to 165°, hips with rotation -30~+170°), the robot can fold into an extremely compact shape for transport or perform acrobatic movements such as standing up from a lying position and torso rotation. The platform offers from 23 to 43 degrees of freedom (DoF), depending on the configuration, allowing for exceptionally fluid movement.
Advanced Manipulation and Force Control
In more advanced configurations (G1 EDU), the robot is equipped with Dex3-1 hands, which enable hybrid force and position control. With these "Force Control" hands, G1 can perform precise tasks such as cracking nuts, soldering, or handling delicate objects. The hands simulate human dexterity and are key for research in the field of human-robot interaction.
360-degree Sensing System (LiDAR + Depth)
For spatial orientation, G1 uses a combination of an Intel RealSense D435i depth camera and a Livox-Mid360 3D LiDAR sensor. This system allows the robot 360-degree environmental perception, precise spatial mapping, and safe navigation among obstacles in real-time, which is crucial for autonomous operation in unstructured environments.
Integrated Design with Internal Wiring
The design of the G1 robot is aesthetically refined and technically advanced. All wiring is routed through hollow motor shafts and the interior of the skeleton, meaning there are no exposed cables that could get caught or damaged. This "clean" design increases operational reliability and safety when working near people.

Powerful Computing Power and Development
The heart of the robot is a high-performance 8-core processor. For more demanding users (EDU version), an expansion with the NVIDIA Jetson Orin module is available, providing up to 100 TOPS of AI computing power. This enables the execution of complex neural networks directly on the robot (Edge Computing) and supports secondary development via open API interfaces.

Quick-Swap Battery for Long-Term Work
The robot is equipped with a 9000 mAh smart battery, allowing for approximately 2 hours of autonomous operation. The battery is mounted on the back and supports a Quick Release system, allowing for replacement in seconds and thus practically continuous operation in research or demo scenarios.

Movement Dynamics and Stability
Unitree G1 reaches movement speeds of up to 2 m/s. Its advanced balancing algorithms allow for stable walking, running, and rapid recovery from disturbances (e.g., pushes). Even in the event of a fall, the robot stands up completely independently thanks to its flexibility and continues its task.
