Charging Port for Xiaomi Electric Scooter
The charging port is the socket on the electric scooter where the charger is inserted. Replacement should be performed by a qualified technician.
Why Is My Electric Scooter Battery Not Working?
Does your scooter no longer turn on, have a much shorter range than when it was new, or fail to charge? Common causes include:
- Prolonged non-use or incorrect battery storage
- Overloading the scooter or battery
- Short circuit or water damage
- Fault in the Battery Management System (BMS)
- Use of an incorrect charger
- Physical damage from a fall
- Cold weather
If your scooter doesn’t turn on, it may not be the battery at fault; other components could be affected, and the battery might only have a partial issue. Certain batteries can also be refurbished, as we collaborate with a leading Li-ion battery refurbishment partner.
Note: In cold weather, battery range can drop by up to 40%. This is normal, and range will improve as temperatures rise.
How to Store an Electric Scooter Battery in Winter
For long battery life, keep it active and in operation. If you’re not using your scooter for an extended period, charge the battery for at least 15 minutes once a month—discharging is not necessary. Li-ion batteries are least stable while charging or fully charged. For storage, maintain a charge level between 40 % and 60 % capacity. At this level, batteries remain safe and undamaged. If they drop below 20 % charge, long-term capacity loss can occur.
Service Information
Replace the charging port or any damaged component as soon as you notice poor performance, reduced power delivery, or visible signs of damage. Under normal use, a service check is recommended at least once a year, or immediately if any irregularities appear. Regular maintenance ensures safe riding and a long lifespan for your scooter.
