How to Store an Electric Scooter Battery During the Winter

For a long battery life, keep it active. If you won't be using your scooter for an extended period, charge the battery for at least 15 minutes once a month—a full discharge is not necessary. Li-ion batteries are least stable while charging or when fully charged. For storage, maintain a charge level between 40% and 60% of its capacity. At this level, the batteries are safe and undamaged. If they drop below a 20% charge, long-term capacity loss can occur.
