Solution for urban centers and neighborhoods

Kaluu City Box is designed for locations where space is limited and security is crucial. It is ideal for city centers, in front of apartment buildings, at P+R points, and near railway stations. It provides complete protection for the bike against weather conditions and theft, which is key to encouraging the use of more expensive electric bikes in daily traffic.

Connectivity and the Kaluu app

The user experience is simplified using the mobile Kaluu app. Cyclists can find the nearest available station, reserve a spot, and unlock the locker with their smartphone. The system allows real-time monitoring of active rentals, eliminating the need for a physical manager or the use of awkward padlocks.

Modular construction and durability

City Box features an extremely strong construction made of stainless steel and aluminum, preventing forced entry. The modular design allows for row installations tailored to the available space. A green roof version (planting) is even possible, allowing for aesthetic integration into green spaces and parks. The door opens to the right, facilitating access.

Electric bike charging

With the increasing number of electric bikes, the possibility of charging has become a necessity. City Box is equipped with a socket (230V, 10A) that allows for safe charging of the bike battery while it is locked. This is especially important for cyclists commuting longer distances to work or public transport.

What are the requirements for site preparation before installing the cabinets?

For safe and stable installation of Scooter Box or City Box units, a hardened and level surface is required, ideally a concrete slab or asphalt. The products are self-standing, but for safety and stability, they are bolted to the ground using the included M10 anchor bolts. If the location does not yet have a suitable surface, our team can advise you on the necessary construction preparations.

Is a connection to the power grid strictly necessary for operation?

An electrical connection is required if you want to use the charging function for e-bikes or e-scooters (built-in 230V sockets) and for the operation of the smart electronic lock. Requirements are standard (230V, 10A). In the event that electrical installation cannot be provided at the location, please contact us for battery-powered lock options or solar solutions (where available).

How does access control work? Can we use existing employee cards?

The primary method of management is via the Kaluu mobile application, which allows users to view available spots, make reservations, and unlock. For business users and restricted areas, the system also enables the integration of RFID readers. This means your employees can use their existing employee time registration cards for unlocking, which simplifies both use and administration.

Are the cabinets resistant to vandalism and weather conditions?

Yes. Both units are designed specifically for public and outdoor use. The construction made of stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized sheet metal ensures high resistance to rusting. The surface is protected by high-quality powder coating, which is resistant to UV rays and scratches. Robust doors and hidden hinges make forced entry attempts difficult.

Is it possible to customize the lockers to match our company's corporate identity?

Of course. We understand that urban equipment is part of a company's or municipality's visual identity. We offer the option of color customization according to the RAL scale and the application of your logo or other graphic elements to the sides of the cabinets (e.g., laser cutting or stickers). For a "custom" design, please let us know when submitting your inquiry.

How are the products delivered and who takes care of the assembly?

Products are usually delivered disassembled (flat-packed) for easier and more cost-effective transport, unless otherwise agreed. On-site assembly is not included in the basic price of the product. We offer the option of assembly by our professional team (turnkey) or you can assemble it yourself using the provided technical instructions.
