Preventing Flat Tires

The most common cause of "flat tires" is riding with incorrect pressure in the inner tubes. Most electric scooters require at least 3.5 bar, which should be checked regularly with a pressure gauge – ideally once a week.

Riding with improper inner tube pressure can cause:

• Tire wear on both the inside and outside
• Poor grip and an increased risk of slipping
• Longer braking distances
• Poor handling

Service Information

The tire should be replaced as soon as you notice signs of poor handling, reduced grip, vibrations, or visible wear. Under normal use, replacement is recommended every 1,000 – 2,000 km.

Visible Signs of Tire Wear Requiring Replacement

Outside: Flattened tread, burn marks, or holes. Regular riding causes normal wear; tricks or aggressive braking accelerate it.
Inside: Separation of the wire structure, often due to riding with incorrect tire pressure.

Unprofessional replacement of inner tubes or tires can cause:

• Damage to the motor cable
• Damage to the motor frame
• Sharp cuts on the rim
• Damage to the tire and the new inner tube

If you have a "flat tire" or a worn-out tire on your electric scooter, it is necessary to check the condition of both the inner tube and the tire during replacement, as incorrect pressure often damages both. A new inner tube in a scooter with a damaged tire will have a very limited lifespan.
